Ryan Moore, a tech entrepreneur, credits his years at Mayfield Junior School with setting the stage for his success as a student, innovator, and business leader. Now the founder of a thriving software company in Silicon Valley, Ryan often reflects on how Mayfield shaped both his academic foundation and his confidence in pursuing bold ideas.

"At Mayfield, I learned how to ask good questions and how to collaborate with classmates to find creative answers," Ryan recalls. "That sense of curiosity and teamwork became the backbone of how I work today." The school's emphasis on inquiry-based learning not only sparked his early love of technology but also prepared him to thrive in the rigorous environment of his high school years.

Ryan's growth at Mayfield went beyond academics. From athletics to service projects, he found opportunities to discover new strengths and build resilience. "Mayfield pushed me to try things outside my comfort zone," he says. "It taught me to be adaptable and to keep going when challenges came up." Those lessons paid off when he applied to his first-choice college, where his combination of strong academics and leadership experiences helped him stand out.

Looking back, Ryan sees a direct line between his Mayfield experience and his success today. "The skills I use every day—creativity, perseverance, and a deep respect for collaboration—were all rooted in those early years," he shares. "I wouldn't be where I am now without the foundation Mayfield gave me."
