The Mustang Sports Program is about learning and growing while playing a sport you love. With three seasons and over ten competitive sports teams each year, Mayfield students in seventh and eighth grades, have many opportunities to:

• Excel at a favorite sport or discover a new one
• Develop new skills and gain experience
• Build friendships and succeed as a team

Teams

Students in seventh and eighth grades are able to play every sport Mayfield and the Middle School Independent League (MSIL) has to offer. With short six to eight week seasons, students are encouraged to try different sports. Mayfield has a team for every ability, from beginner to highly competitive.

A Team - Considered our most competitive team. The A team consists of mostly eighth grade students who compete for a league title and a spot in the end of season play-off tournament.

B Team - Consists of seventh grade students only. The B team completes a full season with no play-offs and is a developmental season in preparation for moving on to A team the following year.

Intramural C Teams - Mayfield Athletics is committed to providing an inclusive experience for student athletes of all abilities with the start of our Intramural team sports program. Intramural teams provide student athletes a chance to experience playing a team sport with friends, improve their skills, or learn a new sport and represent their school. Mayfield's Intramural teams are offered throughout the year with some opportunities to play other schools.
